EAHGC Scorecard & Scoring System

All purebred Arabian breeding horses competing in the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup will be assessed with the EAHGC Scorecard (see image).

Points will be assigned by each judge using a scale of one (1) to ten (10); half points may be awarded. All horses will be assessed in five categories:

  1. ARABIAN TYPE
  2. HEAD & NECK
  3. BODY
  4. FEET & LEGS
  5. MOVEMENT

The categories of Head & Neck as well as Movement will be determined by the averaging of two individual scores:

  • Both HEAD and NECK will be judged as individual criteria, with one (1) to ten (10) points assigned for each. These points will then be combined and averaged to give one single score in the category of HEAD & NECK between one (1) and ten (10).
  • Both WALK and TROT will be judged as individual criteria, with one (1) to ten (10) points assigned for each. These points will then be combined and averaged to give one single score in the category of MOVEMENT between one (1) and ten (10).

All horses will receive scores from a maximum of fifty (50) points. Ranking in each qualifying class will be based on total cumulative scores from all three judges. Special EAHGC scorecards will be provided to judges for the purpose of scoring all exhibits.
